Diaspora Minds Lab is a community platform for Africans in the diaspora to connect, learn, invest, partner, and collaborate in building sustainable enterprises.
2. How do I become a member?
To join, complete a short screening questionnaire. Your application will be reviewed for suitability, and you’ll be notified of the outcome. If you're not accepted immediately, don't worry—you’ll be added to a waiting list and reconsidered in the future.
3. What are the benefits of being a member?
- Connect with like-minded individuals in the diaspora.
- Learn from seasoned entrepreneurs.
- Explore opportunities to build or grow enterprises—locally or back home.
- Access collaborative and investment opportunities.
4. What level of commitment is required from members?
We welcome serious entrepreneurs—or aspiring ones—who are committed to learning and growth. Membership is reviewed every six months. Inactive members will be respectfully removed to maintain engagement and value for all.
5. How often does the community meet?
We host virtual meetings at least every two weeks. Between meetings, members can engage via the platform by sharing ideas, asking questions, and supporting one another.
6. Will the community be capped?
Yes. We are building a close-knit community, capped at 50 members. This ensures meaningful participation and effective facilitation.
7. Is there a membership fee?
- Founding members: No fee.
- Future members: A subscription fee may apply.
8. Do I need to be an entrepreneur or have business experience to join?
No prior experience is required—only a strong desire and commitment to begin your entrepreneurial journey.
